Scott Sopher
Executive Chef, Scott Sopher is the man that creates the “Inspired Mediterranean
Cuisine” at Cin Cin Mediterranean Bar and Grille that has won top awards and
recognition in southwest Florida since the opening of Cin Cin’s.
Chef Sopher was born and raised in Philadelphia and after graduating high school
left for Steamboat Springs, Colorado where he began his training to become a
chef. In 1997 he continued his training at the highly respected Johnson and
Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island where he earned his formal culinary
training and a degree. He then continued his training at the famous Biltmore
Estates in Asheville, North Carolina. From there he joined the staff of the Four
Diamond rated Richmond Hill Inn. There under the direction of the well-known
Chef Frank LaCantena, Scott worked as a Sous Chef. His creativity and passion
for food blossomed under the direction of Chef LaCantena.
In 2000 southwest Florida beckoned Chef Scott and his family and they moved to
Bonita Springs. Chef Scott began his first full responsibility as a chef when he
was employed to open Trader’s Store and Café. His ideas were honed and sharpened
there and his food became a hallmark for Trader’s attracting a large group of
loyal guests.
In June of 2004 Chef Scott was recruited to become the Executive Chef at the
proposed Cin Cin Mediterranean Bar and Grille. Cin Cin’s opened in September
with a menu created and inspired by Chef Scott. The hallmark of the restaurant
was “Inspired Mediterranean Cuisine.” Almost immediately after its opening Cin
Cin Mediterranean Bar and Grille Executive Chef Scott Sopher’s culinary flair
delighted the residents of Fort Myers and southwest Florida. Cin Cin guests
continue to return time after time to experience the culinary creativity of
Executive Chef Scott Sopher.
